Grayish cracks are visible in the lower part of the painting, on the woman's left hand and on the beginning of her left forearm. These are present in other parts of the painting and are due to damage caused by the passage of time. However, those on the woman's hand have been accentuated by the reflection of light on the varnish when the canvas was digitized, by photogrammetry giving this grayish appearance.
